Formula 1 fans are being urged to make their voice heard in what looks set to be the biggest poll ever of grand prix racing supporters.

The new ING and F1 Racing Global Fan Survey has just gone live and Renault's title sponsor is hoping that the findings will help key figures inside F1 get a better understanding of what they can do to make the sport better for fans.

Isabelle Conner, the director of F1 sponsorship for ING, explained: ?The reason ING joined F1 as a key sponsor was because of the passion millions of F1 fans around the world feel for the sport. The ING F1 Racing survey gives all fans, no matter if you go to the Grand Prix, or just watch the occasional race, the chance to make your voice heard.

?The survey will give the race organizers, sponsors and teams a real insight into what fans think. Not just what they love about the sport, but areas they feel could be improved.?

Conner especially wants fans new to the sport to voice their views on F1 ? especially those from countries where the sport is venturing for the first time.

?F1 as a sport is increasingly moving eastwards, and we really want to hear from fans in those countries new to F1,? she said. ?Did Singaporeans think the night race was a success? Are Koreans looking forward to their race in 2010? This is a real chance for new fans to voice their opinions as well.

?ING tries to make financial services easier for our customers, and we try and follow this through in everything we do ? especially in our F1 sponsorship. The survey is quick and simple to fill in, and we will release the results in December.?

i just took the survey. no registration is required. i think the questions were thorough and well structured. i took the 2006 survey, and this is a better one. the 2006 results were taken seriously and led to observable changes. please take a few minutes and put some thought into the answers.

the only answers i'll insist you give are:
more overtaking, more overtaking, more overtaking
must keep the european races and heritage

Done.

I also put that there needs to be more overtaking and that they need to keep European heritage and races. Spa should never again be left out of a Formula One season, nor should they change that track.

I'm kind of bummed they didn't leave a section for comments in the survey.
