ING account?

I'm thinking of opening an ING direct account. I have some extra cash in my checking account that I'm not using right now as I'm living at home and working for the summer. I will need this cash during the school year though when I dont have a source of income, so I need to be able to get this cash back into my checking account that I have with Bank of America. Can I easily transfer the money back and forth as I need it with no fees? Also, our their CDs any good? I know theres a penalty for removing from the CD early (it says 1/2 the interest earned), so my question is, if their 5-y cd is 4.4%, whats to stop me from putting my money in there and canceling as I need (which would effectively give me 2.2% for however long it was in there)?

Also, what is the deal with the referrals? How do I get the free 25$ that I always hear about? Thanks

I personally prefer the saving acct.. i think you can move it upto 5 times back and forth per month.
