Per the radio report I heard Chuck & Nancy had a very productive meeting with the President regarding a Bi-Partisan infrastructure bill.
Chuck even said after the meeting it was very positive.
Hopefully the useful idiots in Congress don’t get in the way.

BTW this is one area where I think compromise with the President is very likely. He likes big projects, he understand building shit and he appears to want to get this done.

I'm going to guess that the conversation went one of two ways:
C&N: Mr. President, you are going to promote and sign this bill or spend the next two years fighting off impeachment hearings.
Trump: I think it sounds like the best bill ever.

Or, more likely:
C&N: Look at this fantastic bill, we gave you everything you want in an infrastructure bill. If you pass it, the American people will love you forever, just like we love you, because you are the best negotiator in the history of negotiators.
Trump: I think it sounds like the best bill ever.

Either way, when details come out and Fox tells Trump that it is socialism he will renege.

Funny my approach would have been we need $X Billions to get this project done, it will help the value of hotels & golf because airports will be upgraded.
Every bridge that gets built or rebuilt we have language that a Bronze President Donald J Trump badge that will get attached to them. People will go and take pictures at your bridges.

Chuck saying "very positive meeting" with president will lead to Coulter/Hannity screaming tonight that president Trump is a race traitor for speaking with democrats.

Watch him walk everything back via a couple of tweets by midnight.

Being serious, if we were to factor Fox and the other despicable news networks out of the equation. President Trump would much prefer to make deals with Chuck & Nancy than the Republican leadership. People have said he’s called Republican leadership dumb and I think inbred southerners.

I'll believe it's real after the Fox news talking heads give their approval. What time does Ann Coulter come on tonight?

They want to borrow and spend $2,000,000,000,000 (two TRILLION dollars).

For what?

Pork barrel shit.

Dont worry though, we'll pay it all back someday. ;)

Republicans will say it just can’t be paid for with anything except money spent on healthcare for the elderly or the poor.

Exactly like their tax cuts for ideological consistency.

It's desperately needed. My only issue is I have my doubts about Trump admin. officials overseeing a project involving handing out mega contracts to private businesses.

No worries there, this will take years to get in the pipeline. Trump will be enjoying four walls by then.

Desperately needed by whom? For what? I see no desperate need for anything. And dont give me the roads and bridges routine, I know better.
Since Felix doesn't want to see the Kochs pay more taxes, I propose taxing Felix to pay for this.

Get a clue, homestyle. I've long warned about spending and the National Debt. You can pull numbers out of your backside, I dont care. The result is the same. The government is a fat, bloated pig. We spend too much money and nobody cares.

Haha!

and so it begins....

President Trump on Tuesday trashed his own White House infrastructure plan released last year, blaming his former top economic adviser Gary Cohn for drafting a proposal that was "so stupid."

Trump, meeting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), made clear that he was never supportive of the proposal calling for public-private partnerships, because "you get sued," according to a senior Democratic source who attended the private meeting in the White House's Cabinet Room.
"That was a Gary [Cohn] bill. That bill was so stupid," Trump told the Democratic leaders, according to the source.

This is going nowhere. No way you are raising $2T in gas taxes, Rs won't revisit the useless tax cuts for the rich, and the deficit is already sky high (which you'll get enough pushback from a few on both sides about.)

Headfake.

Ds look willing to deal, Trump is desperate, but Trump incompetence or McConnell intransigence kills it, and Ds say they tried.
