Does anyone know if it is possible to take infrared photos with Fuji Finepix S5000?

Hmm, I have one. I have no idea!

I do know that on night-shot it takes in a hell of a lot more ambient light than your eyes do. Something can be very dark but with the long exposure it grabs a lot of light. Just make sure it's on a tripod ;)

I have no idea how it works.

Is there maybe a filter in photoshop that converts normal images to infared?

Im looking for the cheapest way possible.

I don't know if the CCD is capapble of picking up infrared wavelengths.

If it is, however, what you need to do is go to your local photo store and pick up a 52mm (I believe that is what the S5000 takes) infrared lens filter. It shouldn't set you back more than about $40
