Hey all. Quick Question for you all who may have been in a similar situation. I've got an "informational Interview" tommorow. Basically there is no actual job on the table, I'm just going in to meet with one of the partners at this ad agency. I sent them my resume + cover letter (along with many other agencies) and he called me and said that he wanted to meet me. He also said that they don't have any job openings at the moment, but their work flow fluctuates quite a bit and the do need temporary help from time to time. My question is, since it's only a meeting and not an interview, should I wear a suit or just a nice shirt and tie (pants + shoes, etc. Just no jacket) According to what I know about the agency, they are a smaller independent group with a similar feel to a "New York Boutique" Any suggestions?

i'd suggest a shirt and tie but bring the jacket.
Wait and see what your potential "boss" might be wearing and pop on the jacket if need be.

If not, leave it with the receptionist or just sling it on your arms.

It's better to be overdressed and take the jacket off, then to be underdressed and suffer in agony. :)
