I just started taking a class in college involving DC circuits and I LOVE it. In my last class we built a logic analyzer and it was the most fun i had ever had in school.
I was wondering where i could get like schematics and parts lists and stuff so i could build my own circuits. I have seen many believe me but I cannont find anyone that carries the ICs that most of the projects call for. (I have mostly been trying ot build audio amps and audio level displays)

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

theres plenty of information online. start a search by trying "electronic kits" or....search for the device you want to build in question. usually when i am on a quest for these things i have a goal in mind. like for example...homebuilt radio control plane. it helps you when your doing research. then you will stumble upon other kits and ideas while your looking for info for the first idea.

by the end of teh night you will have several to toy around with.

If Newark doesn't have the chip you are looking for, it's probably obsolete. Check spec's on other chips to substitute. If you can't substitute, you might try Jameco, they have some older IC's in stock.

well i checked and National Semiconductor still makes it. It is a Dot/Display Bar driver. Standard 18 pin DIP package. I don't know what is up.
Anyways thanks everyone. I guess this really wasn't a great question but it didn't hurt to ask, no?
