Infogrames changes name to Atari

Ok, suddenly that whole other matrix software thread makes sense to me now.

I know I'm showing my rings here, but I remember when I got my 2600 under the tree. Ah, pitfall, asteroids, that castle game with the dragons and keys... adventure, that's it!

At least the legend lives on..

I wonder if they'll fall under the "Atari curse", and fall into bankruptcy a few years from now?

Seriously, I'd be worried. Any company that has owned the Atari brand name in the past (Warner Bros, Namco, Midway, Hasbro, etc.) ran into problems soon after.

I was at my dad's the other day and found the original Atari 2600 box, with the console and a bunch of games in another box. It's soon to find a home in my apt. 🙂
