i want some detail on the connections in the back of these cards.
i have a Klipsch V.2 400 4.1 and i've been looking upgrade to 5.1 speakers (thinking Klipsch 5.1 but might get a videologic digitheater DTS). but if what i suspect is right this card might have 3 speaker connection in the back and not just 2. which means all i need is a Klipsch 2.1 speakers so i can go 6.2. LMK. thanks.

"6.2" Lol. Would that be like dually subwoofers. Anyways, you can do 6.1 with the A2. It has 2 stereo miniplug outputs (analog of course, front r&l, surround r&l) plus a 3 connector "stereo miniplug", which is unusual (for center, sub, and rear center). I just use a regular stereo miniplug in the 3rd output, to get 5.1, since I don't have a rear center speaker.

it'll will be 2 subs, as i'll be adding a Klipsch 2.1 to my 4.1. so it's 3 connectors- the 2.1 will go to the 3rd connector with the speakers set in the center (front and back) and the 4.1 connected to the 1st and 2nd (front L/R and Surround L/R).

_______(2.1)
(4.1)___(2.1 Sub)___(4.1)

(4.1)___(4.1 Sub)___(4.1)
_______(2.1)

this should work, right?
LMK.

It might work, it might not, you will still need the 3 pole cable for the third connector even if you don't plan on using the sub out. Using a normal stereo cable will have you output center to your center and sub to your rear surround which I assume is not what you want. The problem is I don't know how you would connect that to the Klipsch speakers as they use 1/8th stereo inputs and the 3 pole cables I have seen split to 3 RCA connectors. Unless you can pass a digital signal to the speakers, I believe the Creative 6.1 speakers are probably the only analog based PC speakers that can easily be connected for 6.1 audio. A HT receiver with 6.1 in would be the ideal solution.

when you say "3 pole" do you mean 3 rca jacks like the pics Picture of the card in SB's site?
if thats the case then it' should work. the 4.1 connects to the front L/R and surround L/R and the 2.1 connects to the Center. with the 2.1 sub in the front and the 4.1 sub in the back.
LMK.

Nope, RCA connectors AKA composite are the red white and yellow connectors you see on TV's, VCR's and other video/audio equipment. Here is one:

The second cable down is the one I am talking about, notice the red white and yellow RCA connectors. The black connector in the middle is the 1/8th or mini plug that the Audigy and Klipsh speakers use.
