Info on nVidia's integrated PIII/Athlon chipsets

"Some industry observers suggested Nvidia's entry into the integrated-chip set market could pressure Intel to finally upgrade the 752 core, perhaps by buying rights to existing technology or by investing in or even acquiring a graphics-design company. "

Hmmm, perhaps 3dfx?

And perhaps Intel could market "Motion Blur" better than 3dfx 😉 Afterall, they did wonders with their "enhance your internet experience" campaign 😀

so nvidia will ONLY be making chipsets for integrated boards, or will there be a normal chipset? If they turn out to be the quality of thier video cards, I might have to pick up an Asus board with the nvidia chipset when they come out. Intel would be wise to seriously consider aquiring 3dfx, maybe together they can pull themselves out of the rut they seem to be in.

Off topic but they have their older video cards integrated on motherboards.

I was looking around looking for a good integrated motherboard, when I stumbled accross PCChips

It has integrated sound/network/modem and a TNT2 agp video card. I thought, (since the person wanted a REALLY cheap computer) wow, this is perfect. Then I look around for a price, and I can buy it for 114.99 can$. (76 us$)

I have not bought it yet, and I have no idea how this thing will perform in games, but it will not likely be that good. However, since most integrated boards come with pretty much bottom of the line video, I thought this was cool, since they will at least be able to play some UT and Quake 3 with me. 🙂 But, it uses up to 20mg of system memory, which worries me. Does anyone know how bad of a performance hit this could be compaired to a regular TNT2 video card?

Anyway, here the board is. M754LMR

Yeah, I've heard nothing but bad stuff about PC Chips...kinda like the Pinto of motherboards 😉
