info needed on Promise Ultra100TX2 U-ATA100, can it be used as a riad controller?

No, the card can only be used as a regular ATA100 controller. You used to be able to mod the original Ultra 66/100 cards to Fasttrack RAID cards, but the newer design of the TX cards can't be modded.
