Im posting this from my fresh install of vista x64.
I did a dual boot install on a fresh HD just now and need to calrify some things and ask some things:
Clarification: The dual boot with my BIOS on separate HDs is not easy (MSI k8N). There is no OS boot option. I have to go into the BIOS and specify HD boot priority. This is important and i never read about it before figuring it out. So, if you have this mobo, keep this in mind.
Now, for the question. I have x64 Enterprise. Many universities are *not* supporting 64-bit because of the retards at cisco. It seems that Enterprise is activated via VPN. I did not realize this until halfway through the install. Is there a way to run a 32-bit VPN to activate?
Next question, Im new to vista (obviously), and im already tired of the "permissions." How do i just grab all permissions for everything. I have spent about 3 minutes trying to figure this out and there is no obvious way to do this. The confirm pop ups are killing me!
Next question, just because a mobo supports a 64-bit CPU does not mean it is 64-bit compatible? No sound. I use on board. Am i going to have to buy a sound card if i stick with this?
