Infinity TSS-450 Platinum 5.1 Speakers for right at $200 shipped

Found these at another place at the same price, but with $57 shipping, so $200 shipped seems to be a smoking deal.

Good to great reviews at Crutchfield, seem like a good, middle of the road 5.1 set. Also come with wall mounting brackets and speaker wire in the box.

I have these. I bought my set about 2 years ago from CC for about $350. I've always been happy with Infinity speakers, this being my second set. My last house had a very small but open living room and these did the trick. The sound from the rears was a little weak, but I had them mounted up high, which isn't recommended. In my new house, the living room is massive. I still haven't run cables to hook up the rears, and am just not sure if I will anytime soon. Using them in a 2 front/center/sub config works well enough. You can also buy extra speakers if you want to do a 6.1 or 7.1 setup.

Yeah, I see the extra sats are about $40 apiece, so I'll probably grab a couple once I get my wiring and everything in place. Getting the TSS-450 set tomorow, I see that outpost has some of the Polk R300 speakers for $50 apiece right now, not sure how those compare, could have gotten 4 of those for $200, but without the sub and center.


Guess I'll see how these work out, I'm hopeful since the reviews are all pretty positive on these.

Man, I wished they had them in black for the same price. Oh well, on $50 more at Crutchfield. Thanks for bringing 'em to my attention though.

Got mine yesterday and got them hooked up. Watched an episode of Planet Earth on Discovery HD Theater and they sounded AWESOME, at least in comparison to my older Prodigy floor model speakers. The sub by itself is worth the money IMO, definitely makes a huge difference watching DD or DTS stuff.

Very happy with my $200 purchase, and it's nice to not have the big black monstrosities which where my old speakers in the living room anymore.
