Anyone had any hands on experience with these??

There was a post in Hot Deals, and i can get it shipped for about $210, seems good...best price i could find from any vendor...
Ebay has some "buy it now" auctions for about $180ish, but after shipping its around the same price and i'd rather go thru a business.

http://thezeb.com/caraudio/infinitysubs.html <--- they pricematched down to $210.

I know its of decent quality, im not looking for 'setting off car alarms' loudness, just something to add decent bass to my music, mostly rock.

You think i'd be better off with this basslink or maybe buying a 12" sub w/ a seperate 200w+ amp? I know i'd cost more to do it seperatly, like 300$+.

What you think?

I was in the same position as you chin, actually. I read a couple reviews and some posts on the CarAudio.com forums and from what I gather the Basslink is a pretty decent system and performs relatively well for its price. I ended up just getting (yesterday) a Memphis 12" and an amp from a friend for $100, which I think is hard to beat. Good luck!

the basslinks are alright but they are amplified...I'm going with dual infinity perfect 10's and finding a decent amp on my own...it'll be a bit more expessive project but really if u know what to listen for you'll notice a major difference by goign with the sperate components over the all in one stuff...

i installed a basslink in my friends mitsubishi lancer. they work pretty well for their size. definitely not block-shaking bass though

yea, i wouldnt pass up that deal either!! well, yeah, i know its not nothing block-shaking, but my car is little (96 corolla), so it should be relatively loud. Also, i think if i went w/ seperate stuff, it'd be heavier (bigger box, etc) and drain more from my itty bitty alternator, which would decrease my gas mileage :(. I dunn0s, i'll probably order it, it's cheap and should be a quick install...also, i dont have stellar highs/mids so if i went with more bass, it'd probably drown out the music....

I bought a Basslink when they were first released and I've been using it for about 2 years now. I love the sound and it's still going strong. It looks nice and doesn't take up much trunk room. The bass is more than enough for me and I listen to a lot of dance, rap, metal, rock, vocals, etc..

I'm using the Basslink with 2 5.25" Infinity (Kappa I think) speakers up front and 2 6x9 Pioneers in back and they sound good together. I used to be all Infinity Kappas but the 6x9's melted a little and had to be replaced.

I've got a Basslink in my Jeep and I really love it. If you already have the wiring run, the install is super quick. If not, well, the install is a bit more of a pain. The Basslink comes with a servo remote that you can mount under your dash so you can control the bass level without having to change the levels on your head unit. Make sure you mount it really well as these units are really easy to grab and run away with.

You won't get earth-shattering bass with this unit, especially in a car trunk, but I think it is a great sub/amp combo for the price.

For you guys that have it in your cars now:

What does it compare to? A 10" in a box? Two 10"'s in a box? In a perfect world, I would be able to test the Basslink out first in my car, and then ditch it if it isn't what I really want...but since I can't do that...
