Infiniti Q50 and QX60 Hybrid

Any opinions on Infiniti?
Looking at the Q50 (2015) and QX60 hybrid (2014).
Right now I have a 2012 Focus and 2011 Edge and am looking to trade both of them in. Don't need a small hatchback anymore, but do need an SUV. Would like to upgrade to be able to seat 7 (usually only 3 or 4 of us in the car) as that issue has come up fairly frequently.

Figure I should get around $27k-$28k for my 2 cars (both are paid for and in good shape). Have an additional $30k cash to spend.

Local Infiniti dealer has quite a few cpo's for decent prices. Looking at $65k total for both the Q50 and QX60 hybrid before any negotiating. Asinine to think I can get them down to $30k cash, plus trade ins before tax/title for both?

I commute about 50 miles a day and my wife is 20.

UG. Imho on infiniti.

why not a volt for the 50 mile commute (never use any gas)
ATS? Lexus? s60?
and a non-hybrid suv for the short commute.

I just don't find Infiniti compelling given other options in the same classes.

Own several Infiniti's over 20 years. I love the VQ engine. On Ward's best engine list for like 10 years in a row and that's the primary reason why I keep buying. These hybrids are not that and their new models unfortunately feature inline 4 turbo 2L which is not Nissan's strength.

i have a q50 and have nothing but good things to say about it

One unique thing about the media center/nav, is that they are separated. So you have your NAV up top, and a whole other screen for your radio/climate/phone/etc...

It has a good amount of power for a 4 door car, gets around 22-24mpg (more if you drive on the HWY more, mine is mixed)

So the Q50 looks good. Ok, will go test drive that one tomorrow. Quite a few 2015 off leases for ~$30K. Glad to hear positives from owners.
