Running Win XP SP 2 (or at least I was).
Seagate hard drive 200g
512 mb ram
athlon 1.1 ghz processor
All of a sudden, for no reason that I can determine, I can no longer boot the computer. If I try a normal windows boot, it passes all the DOS stuff, goes to the windows xp logo. The little blue bar moves like it's supposed to for a few seconds and then the screen goes black and it reboots.
If I try safe mode, I can see all the files being loaded but when it reaches the point where it should actually enter windows, it reboots.
It'll infinitely reboot until I shut it off
I ran the Seagate disk tools. The quick test and memory test passed just fine.
However the file system structure test failed.
I tried doing a repair on Win XP. It looked like it worked (i.e. no errors occurred) but it did not fix the problem.
Any other ideas? Are there tools out there that can give me more information than simply "file system structure test failed"?
Thanks in advance.
