i've modded my xpertvision 6600 (non-gt) with a intel p3 heatsink/fan yesterday and it ran cooler (49@idle and 63@load @500/1000) than the stock heatsink (56@idle and 73@load @350/800)

this card uses a ddr3 infineon (HYB18T256321F-20c) ram and unfortunately when i moded my card, the ram dosen't touch the heatsink. so i wanna know whether the rams now will run hot easily when i overclocked if from 800mhz to 1000mhz. they say ddr3 rams are cooler than that of ddr1. i just wanted to know whether is it safe overclock it?
