Infected with Zlob.downloader.odn

I am not sure where to post this cry for help. I did not see anything specific for Spyware/Malware, etc. issues. Please let me know where I may go for help.

My problem is Spybot S & D shows Zlob.downloader.odn.
We have run Adaware 2007, Spybot, Super AnitSpyware. We use Micro Trend PC-cillin Internet Security. Nothing helps. Tried to restore, system keeps telling me that it is unable to restore.

Congrats, I just reformatted/re-installed after dealing with the same thing. Got this nasty business 1.5 weeks ago. Tried various manual instructions that didn't work, found one Anti-Spyware App that worked, sorta. Even after it stopped the Porn links my system acted rather flakey, as if it was always very busy. This morning I said "F it" and wiped my Windows Partition to start over.

1) what symptoms do you currently see? I noticed the HistoryKill 2006 entries, which I believe is WinFixer-type malware/fraudware, so try to uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs as a first step.

2) since Microsoft has relatively good heuristic detection for some Zlob files, you could try the Live OneCare online scanner and/or run the Malicious Software Removal Tool. Links for both options on this page.

3) if you have time, try John's removal guide on this page :thumbsup:

5) I see a couple things that need updated because they have known vulnerabilities. Use the Secunia Personal Software Inspector beta to help you eliminate your vulnerable stuffs which can let the infections happen.
