Infected ingrown hair on my toe

So one of the hairs on my toe got yanked out a while back. Instead of growing out like normal after a week, it decided it was nice and cozy in there and decided to camp out for a while. Now I like toe campers as much as the next guy on CS, but it looks ugly and possibly infected. The entire toe is sore and it hurts to touch it. I'm contemplating putting my foot in ice water till it goes numb and poking at it, burning it with gasoline, or biting its head off, but I'm wondering if there are better home remedies.

This is ATOT and no thread is worth anything without pics so here you go:

You need to soak it in some epsom salts. The heat will help your body fight the infection, and the salts will draw it out.

Don't have any of that, can I just season it with table salt?

No. Any pharmacy or grocery store will carry it.

A moist , warm compress for about 20 mins should head it up right nice. Then, it's just a matter of needle or a tweezer to pull the offending follicle.

Clean a needle with some alcohol and pop it. Then use alcohol on the toe to prevent infection.

It really only showed up two days ago. I thought it was athletes foot coming back at first...just red and itchy.
