I say we outlaw abortion. And every idiot who agrees with the decision should be forced to feed/bathe/clothe/educate/support all of the unwanted, out of wedlock offspring that will further over populate this planet.
This, though, is a pro-infanticide argument. There's no logical difference between your reason for this pre and post birth.

Except that one is "pre" and one is "post". And there are already laws to deal with late-term abortion, so that red herring can be put to rest.

But your argument isn't for abortion; it's for population reduction.

abortion is a method of population reduction, so is infanticide and so is "the lottery".

Your argument doesn't go to the question of infanticide.

Look up the definition of an infant, that should end the discussion.

And actually abortion tends to eliminate the lower end of the gene pool, which is good for society on the whole anyway.

But again. Your argument for reducing the population and killing the poor/ignorant isn't one for abortion, or for infanticide, or forced sterilization.

But it could equally be used to defend any of them.

I don't even think you read what you write, to be honest. Unless you can quote anywhere I mentioned "forced", I am done responding to your misrepresentations of my argument.

The only people trying to "force" anything on society are the people trying to over turn Roe v Wade, and force all of those unwanted offspring to be born.

I"m not saying you are aruging for anything.

I'm saying you are failing to argue for anything at all.

The logic you use, and fail to link to abortion, could also be linked to all manner of other activities.

You offer no reason why there should be a distinction between those other things that lead to the outcomes that you are arguing are good as linked to abortion.

If someone came to you with only the option of either allowing an infant to be murdered or taking it on as your sole responsibility, probably quite a few would allow it to be murdered.

I say we outlaw <x>. And every idiot who agrees with the decision should be forced to feed/bathe/clothe/educate/support all of the unwanted, out of wedlock offspring that will further over populate this planet.

The X there could be replaced with anything, at all, that reduces the population of poor people. The logic would be exactly the same. Without some other delimitation you aren't arguing for or against the idea stated, but rather for population-reduction.
