Inexpensive, yet RELIABLE 4x DVD-R disks?

I want cheap disks, but not at the cost of reliability. If they're not going to last for 10 or 20 years, I'd rather pay more for better disks. Anyone got any brand recommendations? I also need them to write at 4x.

That's not true R last longer then RW and RW last longer then DVD-RAM.

So R is the best if you want to keep your data around for x years, so long as the discs are good quality and won't fall apart. Also stored in a cool dry place.

Longevity: Mitsui DVD-R discs derive additional benefits from a life expectancy of 100 years !

Some of the best DVD-R blank media.

Do you mean Taiyo Yuden? I've had 0 problems myself with both Taiyo Yuden and TDK media so another vote for them.

I had no problems with Ritek G04 4x and Princo White Top 4x...burned about 40 discs without a coaster on my A05. Tried 3 Memorex discs, 2 became coasters @ 2x 🙁
