I am looking at this one currently. I am wondering if there are any better that would fit my needs. My rig is:

Athlon XP 1700+ (no OC)
768 MB ram
Gigabyte board
GF4ti4200 AGP card
Adaptec AHA somthing somthing something SCSI card
TV Capture card
Onboard sound/LAN
2 80 gig HDD's, 1 CDRW, 1 Onstream ADR tape drive (SCSI)
2 lighted fans (not sure if the lighted part matters)

May put another Hard drive and DVD Burner in in the next few months, but i'm not looking to spend much on this box atm. Price range is ~$40 (before shipping) for the PSU. Case is a cheapie, so if there is a decent case+PSU for that price (or a LITTLE above) I might go for that. I think I have a 350W craptstic brand PSU in there now (has been giving my fits for a while) and it won't boot. Usually, if I unplug the power from the PSU for 10 minutes, it will boot up again, but may reboot randomly a few times before working for a day or 2. I'll jumper the pins to verify the PSU is the problem before I order tonight, but I'm pretty sure it is...won't even try to power up, but if I unplug the power, the lights/fans kick on for a second.

So, cliffnotes: Will this PSU be adaquate/is it a decent deal, if not, then suggestions for sub $40 range PSU to power the above rig.

That's a very good choice and I don't think you can find a better one for that price.

The Fortron PSUs are an excellent choice. They are considered on par with Seasonic and PC Power and Cooling. Me, I prefer Seasonic, but that will definitely work well for you.
