I have two computers, one with a dual dvi-i video card, and the other with 1 dvi-i and 1 vga video card. For the two monitors, one has 2 dvi-i inputs and the other has 1 dvi-i and 1 vga input.

I've found dual dvi KVM switches for $200+. Anyone know of a cheaper one?

You may have a hard time finding an KVM w/ DVI-I that's both affordable and a good performer. It looks like Belkin, IOGear and StarTech have some solutions < $200, but I can't speak to their quality.

It's unfortunate tho that DVI support jacks the price up so much. I bought a LinkSys 2-port VGA for two of my systems at work and it performs great w/ no noticeable degradation in the video output at 1280x1024 (17" LCD), and it only cost me $24. :)

I did look at Synergy, but I think I'd have a hard time getting it past IT. It does look promising for a lot of applications (especially cutting and pasting between computers).

Sorry, you didn't say you were in an IT environment... Why not ask them to provide what you're looking for?
