Does anyone have any reccomendations for a fast cd-rom drive with Fast Audio Extraction? As inexpensive as possible.

My Band wants to start producing Demo cds so we are looking for a fast way to do this

teac 540e. Way fast and you can adjust speed w/ utility. Great review on CDR Info site. Got mine under $40. ;)

I recently got a Teac 540E and want to give a note of caution. This drive does perform great but if you are planning on using it with Win2K and CloneCD, you may run into some compatibility issues. I had to disable DMA because CloneCD locked up on me. When I disabled DMA for the drive, it worked OK, but the performance was not very good. Several others have reported this problem. I put it on my Win98 machine and it works great.
