I was looking at a picture of a Commel Mini-ITX motherboard based on the Intel 915 Chipset. It was kind of different looking. It had 4 SATA Ports and Either one floppy or one IDE port. My question is, when will SATA only motherobards and SATA Optical Drives be available?

It seems to me that a case with no floppy and only SATA cables would make for a better airflow design.

The only major pain left is a better design for all those stupid power cables. It always seems like they tend to go everywhere that you do not want them to go. It would be an interesting design change if you could just have plugs on the power supply and then you could plug in the cables you need. I have a couple ideas in my head. Like a power strip running verticle to the back of the drives that you could plug into. Another idea I had was a Special Drive plug that was designed to plug into the drive and have an extension plug on the other end so you could piggyback all the plugs. This way you could have one line for the drive connectors and plug it into the first drive only. Then just have a few extension so you could daisy chain all the plugs together. You could still unplug a drive in the middle and not break the chain. This would be similar to how christmas tree light strings plug into each other.
