I'm looking for a place to purchase waterproof network cables and jacks, as well as product suggestions.

This is for a clean-room application, and the equipment needs to withstand powerwashing. Will standard PVC cable work? What do I use for jacks? I only need one cable in the room, with one jack, something like this:

Outside room ---------------> Wall jack inside room ---------------> robotic powder dispenser

I can run the cable inside conduit along the wall, but I still need a "loose" piece to run from the wall jack to the equipment.

Does anyone have advice or experience with this stuff?

Does it have to be able to be permanent? I'd probably get something like used for an outdoor power outlet where you have to open the door to plug in the cable. Then when you do your washing, just unplug the cable, wash everything down, and put the cable back in. Then you can just use normal wallk paltes, keystones, cable, etc...

Yeah, that's was I was thinking as well... but sometimes the equipment will be in the room while they wash. Maybe they can just wrap the end of the cable in plastic bags (they do this for some other stuff as well). Yes, this will be permanent.

Also, is standard PVC good enough to be considered waterproof?
