Indoor temp during summer?

What is the temperature inside your home during the hottest part of the day?

For me it gets to 81F with the AC running non-stop. Can't wait to move out this month.

about 80F with AC blasting is as low as it goes, but it's comfy.

We have a lot of very large Windows so some rooms can get pretty warm. The very hottest it gets in the rooms near the Windows is around 80°-81°. As soon as the sun moves around the house it's not too bad but it can get toasty even with both A/C units running full time.

My desktop thermometer says it gets to 75° at some point during the day. I have the AC set to 73° when I'm awake and something like 70° when I'm asleep. It's so humid here that I have to let it run at night.

Our AC can get the house down to about 68 when its 100+ outside, but they have to work about full time to do that. We keep it set about 75-78 when we are home, but down to about 70 to sleep.

Without AC? Somewhere north of 90, I think. With AC...not sure, we just keep the place at a comfortable temperature (just a window unit).

Thermostat is set to 74F day and night. Basement probably stays around 71F so we tend to stay down there on really hot days.

So pretty much whatever the temperature is outside that day. Thank goodness for fog!

I've already got a thread complaining about how hot the upstairs gets in my house. Right now my office/bedroom is hovering around 80f, which is warm for me. The hot air just pools in there and my electronics make it worse. It makes it difficult for me to sleep. I've got my HVAC system set up now to force all the cool air upstairs. Works better but it still can be boiling upstairs and cool downstairs, which is where the thermostat is.

I neither like the heat or the cold. Somewhere in the middle suits me best. I'd move to a coastal city if I could find work there.

I have my window unit set to 78. Trying not to run the power bill too high, plus I think it is a bit too small to actually get it any cooler than that when it is 90+ outside

At night, I'll sometimes bump it down lower. I turn off the AC and use a window fan every chance I get when it is cooler outside to keep the electric bill down.

MOST of the summer, our AC keeps the house at a relatively comfy 77, but we usually get a few days where the outside temp gets close to 110...and the AC struggles to keep it at 80 inside.
I hate those $300 electric bills every damned year.

We have central air set to a consistent 76. It does a good job keeping it within 2 degrees of that even on the really hot days.

While I may not like it, at the end of the day, I have no problem paying $300 electrical bills if I am kept cool and comfy. We generally have the thermostat set to 72 when we're in the house (it is on a schedule that varies based on time of day), but when it is really hot out, I may notch it down a couple of degrees for a while to try to cool the upstairs a little more.

You guys who keep your houses in the mid 80s or higher are nuts. My man cave upstairs will occasionally hit 84 (even with AC on; it isn't ventilated very well and has a server and HTPC running 24/7) and that is way too hot for my liking.
