the fact that he 'needed' to be heard, or 'needed' to make his mark so that others would recognize him and/or his views makes him not an individualist IMO, as he still exhibited a social dependence. He wanted to impact society. not to mention that his lifestyle choice was based on hate and thus likely tormented him.
To me, professed individualists who give seminars, sermons or write books on individualism are hypocrites.
The true individualist is the ultimate survivor, capable of existing without any dependencies on others.
