Individual cores on a 2500K hitting 95 degrees C. Bad?

I've just been letting my mobo automatically set the voltage, so that could be it. I have no idea what a good voltage would be for my 2500K, though.

Ouch... I would keep it under 1.4v. I've been running at that for a couple of years with out a problem. Most people would consider this too high. There are some good OC guides out there on the web that teach you how to get your voltage down. I would use CPUID to see what voltage the CPU is using at the moment. You might have to put a load on the CPU to see the true voltage depending on your bios settings.

Each chip is different and will run at different voltages, there can be quite a lot of trial and error to find out what voltage is best for your chip, but it's worth doing.

Edit: just noticed that you are only running at 3.5ghz, so it's not like you have a large overclock, have you tried updating the bios firmware?
 
Ok, voltage can't be it. I set it on the lowest possible voltage increase in the CMOS, something like +.004, and it still overheated past 90 C even when only set at 3.6 GHz. Will try installing a new cooler next.
