Lovely. Trump can blithely say in press conferences that he's willing to talk to Mueller, but then his lawyers are "advising him against it." So it's all the lawyers' fault, right? Horseshit. Trump has never had any intention of talking to Mueller.

He was totally about to release his tax returns too but then his accountant advised him against it.

Any minute now.

Well to be honest about it during any investigation ( not just this one ) you should never submit to an interview without your lawyers consent and only with the lawyer present. Any honest detective will tell you the same. I know this isn't exactly the same, but I think the same rules should apply.

That's true, except then you shouldn't boast in press conferences about your willingness to do so.

Lots of developments today... apparently Mueller's team is looking at specific actions Hope Hicks took when news of the Trump Tower meeting first broke.

Remember Mark Corallo, the legal spokesman who quit after that Air Force One flight (where Trump and team drafted a statement about adoptions?) Yeah, he told Mueller that Trump and Hicks discussed some emails Don Jr. wrote prior to that meeting, and Hope said "those emails will never get out."

Best part...this discussion happened without any lawyers in the room or on the phone. No attorney client privilege.

. If Hope Hicks flips on Trump, Mueller has everything he needs. The irony of the emails. lol

Yeah, not sure what to believe...it could be that Hicks was just spouting off to reassure the Pres, because she actually had no control over which emails Mueller or Congress could review. It's highly unlikely she was suggesting destroying evidence, but apparently the mere fact she uttered those words could create some sort of legal jeopardy for the WH.

Seems Corallo had contemporaneous conversations about what happened and what was said. Remains to be seen what hard evidence there may or may not be.

If she actually said such a thing willing to bet she's in big big trouble with the interview she gave Mueller since she is clearly unskilled at deception.

I agree with that statement entirely.

Even still if he doesn't I wouldn't blame him a bit. It would only be trouble for anyone and certainly not in your own best interest regardless of any wrong doing or not.

Tom Arnold is saying Hope Hicks is sleeping with Trump.

https://twitter.com/TomArnold/status/958932718682648577

So that's pretty weird.

This is so gross. Melania apparently didn't take well to the porn payoff debacle. Can't imagine this will go over well if substantiated.

I believe this would take us way beyond Bill Clinton levels of debasement of the office... you know... if Trump lies about it. Because that's the real crime.

eh, the fact that he even campaigned was a greater debasement of the office than Clinton.

The fact that a major party nominated this slime mold is still worse.

The fact that he stepped behind the resolute desk and sat in the chair, the very first time, is the end of all respect for the office of POTUS.

But it's the LIES, man. And they have to be under oath! Those are the real crimes!

Tom Arnold said it. That's enough for me. Put him in jail now. If Tom said it then it must be fact.

Now that I know Trump for what he really is as a person, I'd say the first thing that weaselly con artist did was sit in that chair and tagged it with a fart to lay claim to it. And yeh, I'm sure he then got up and smelled the chair seat just to make sure his stink was the only marker there. ;)

Bring on the real evidence. I believe in freedom of speech and if I want to talk to a Russian, a Frenchman, an Iranian or an Asian everything is perfectly legal. Where do Democrats come up with the notion that US Citizens can not talk to foreign people?

"Immigrants" to the US is one of Mexico's largest exports. Worth $25B+ per year.
Just another example of corporate welfare, and why there won't be a meaningful change. You want change, hold employers feet to the flames for employing illegals.

I'm for it. Have ICE lock a few bosses and things will change. The $25B+ is in remittance payments sent to Mexico each year.
