I tried to unlock my Thunderbird 850 with the pencil trick.

I have a Abit KT7 motherboard, I went into the BIOS to change the mutiplier setting to x9.0 and FSU at 100MHz. But when I boot, the information says it's (x8.0 x 100 MHz) = 800 MHz. Does this mean I didn't unlock my multipiler correctly?

Thanks.

Yup, means that you probably didn't quite close the gaps. Take your eraser out and try again. I used a mechanical pencil with high quality Pilot HB leads. Works beautifully.
