My gf's aunt owns a local jewelry store and managed to pull some strings to get us box seats for Wednesday's game. Box seats are really great no matter where you are, but these were the sh!t. You know how when you watch a game on tv and the camera's perspective is over the pitchers' shoulder looking at the batter as the pitch is delivered? Well, in those shots you can see people behind home plate in sort of these underground bunkers watching the game. On Wednesday night I was lucky enough to be one of those people. Man alive it was cool. To get to the box we had to take an elevator down into the basement of Jacob's field, where we had to walk down several more ramps to get to the box. When we got to the box there were two fridges stocked with beer, chafing dishes with wings, spinach dip, hamburgers, hot dogs, spring rolls, fresh fruit, meat and cheese trays and other stuff. Then you walked out another door, up some steps and you're basically looking straight down the plate at the pitcher. The best part though was being close enough to the plate to see the action on the ball (man those things move around) and being able to hear Alex Ridriguez whine to the ump about being punched out after looking at strike three. You have to swing at it Alex. Man, being within heckling distance is great! And on top of it we saw a great game. I partied it up so much that I unfortunately:roll: had to take off work yesterday. Good times.

I have no clue where you're saying you are... underground ??? 😕 Something special at Jacob's Field ?
