Kind of a follow up to the post on the cheap Sam's club hard drive

Sam's on the East Side (E. Washington, just past Washington Square) has 6-10 of those 20 gig WD hard drives for $59 ($99 - 40 for rebate). I went with a friend yesterday, and saw them in the bins when the manager opened it.

The only hard drive shown on the floor is a 45 gig for $109 (after $40 rebate), but they were out of those. You need to talk to the manager or someone who will open the bins for you. I asked, and the girl standing 3 feet in front of the bins kept telling me they didn't have any others. I really had to press to get them to check.

Good luck! I wish I could have gotten one for myself, but didn't have the funds. Hope someone here can get to them.

I had a similar thing happen to me about 2 moths ago. The person at the service counter told me there weren't any 20.5Gig drives. Because she didn't see them. They had all the drives stacked up against the wall. The 20, 30, and 45 gig drives were all mixed together. I had to point it out to her.
