Indian restaurants

it seems like every indian place i go to, they give you your food in a little deep dish thing that has maybe 8 cubes of chicken thats drenched in sauce. You end up plowing through the chicken and have to fill up just with rice and sauce. Big change from Chinese restaurants where i usually get a good amount of the actual ingredients and not sauce.

Chinese: meat is what you came to eat, we add some sauce to liven up the dish.

Indian: sauce/rice is what you came to eat, we add some meat to liven up the dish.

Both are good approaches depending on your mood that day. If you don't like rice/sauce, then try another dish.

yeah i guess my chinese mentality just feels cheated when i pay 8 bucks for sauce and rice. and its not even unlimited rice like in chinese restaurants

And most Indian restaurants are expensive too. Everytime I eat at one, I can't help but wonder how much dough they're raking in from serving people sauce and rice (w/occasional meat). 😀

The sauce is what its all about. Thats why you eat with rice to thicken it up and make it filling.

Yes. That is a traditional form of eating Indian food in many places. Also breads to eat the food(Nan). But yes...some restaurants use sh!tloads of gravy(sauce as you called it)

mmmmmmmmm Chicken Makhani(Butter Chicken)
Best chicken dish evaaaaaaar!

I got this lamb w/ spanich type of yogurt sauce... delicious, I fill up on lamb too, since this was a buffet, I scooped out all the lamb.
