Recommend some good indian music for me to download. I'm trying to find some as my background music for a video project I'm doing. Thanks.

Seriously, look up stuff by Zakir Hussain or Hariprasad Chaurasia for traditional stuff, Daler Mehndi for bhangra (you'll know what I mean when you listen to it) and most everything by A.R. Rahman for film music.

Yeah, hey, you need a job? Hop in the back. Besides, calling us honkeys doesn't insult us. Calling us honkeys insults hispanics if you know what the whole honkey thing is about. But anyway, whatever.

'The Flute Song' by Remo Fernandes. This will drive you crazy and make you wanna buy a set of drums and even a bamboo flute. It's mind-numbingly awesome.

Lucky Ali: Tere Mere Saath; Sunoh; O' Sanam; Dekha Hai Aise Bhi
Musafir Soundtrack: Tez Dhaar [Billa Journey Mix] by Sanjay Dutt
Zinda Soundtrack: 'Yeh Hai Meri Kahani' by Strings and 'Zinda Hoon Main' by Shibani Kashyap

Not exactly Indian but you can't go wrong with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (Pakistani).
His best songs include 'Tere Bin Nahin Lagda', 'Dum Mast Kalandar', 'Sano Ek Pal Chain Na Awey (Nothing Without You)' and 'Allah Hu'

A.R. Rahman has almost never made bad music.
His best work includes:
----Album Name (Song Titles)
----Bombay Dreams (Wedding Qawali) (Andrew Lloyd Webber production)
----Dil Se Soundtrack (Chayya Chayya; Dil Se; Jiya Jale)
----Rang De Basanti Soundtrack (Rang De Basanti; Luka Chupi)
----Swades Soundtrack (Yun Hi Chala; Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera)
----Yuva Soundtrack (Khuda Hafiz; Kabhi Neem Neem)

For kick-ass dance tracks, two words: Panjabi MC [Mundian to Back Ke; Jogi]

Downloading these songs might be a major pain in the ass because everyone spells them weird.

hehe...well, its an awesome track to play at excessively loud volumes. 5 minutes of furious drumming vs. a flute solo. sounds weird in theory but it really isn't.

Great list 🙂.. I'd personally add the song "Tum hi se" to the Lucky Ali list...

Coyote Oldman Tear of the Moon CD, it's really good. It combines, Native American Flute with Ican Pan Pipes. Very haunting, cool. Here is a link you can listen to a few tracks if you wish. Night Voyage is my favorite.
