As most of you guys probably know, on January 26th, a 7.7 (downgraded from 7.9) earthquake hit India in the state of Gujarat. 100,000 people have already died but there are many more without food, clothes, homes etc. If you guys could click on this site, a packet of food will be donated to the survivors:

Don't lock my thread I know you guys have let Hunger posts stay up before.

This is hot deal forum! Please post your message somewhere else.

Besides, everybody needs help now. Bolivia flood, Mongolia snow disaster, Afghanistan cold winter, North China(Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang) snow disaster, North Korea snow disaster, even Iraq children.

And the India quake is not the biggest. I guess Indian can settle the problem by themself with the help of international organization. Let's recall in 1976(or 1977), China had a Tangshan earthquake(scale 7.8 or 7.9), 290,000 dead (maybe 400,000 dead). Red China even did not ask international help.

China would not have asked for help from any country other than USSR (from which they did receive aid). The Red Cross is taking donations for this cause and they're usually pretty efficient with their contributions. I think about 92-93% of the money they receive is actually spent on aid (in the form of those 5K tent kits).

Doesn't really matter who didn't do what in the past, what matters is what we do now, for the present. Being downgraded from 7.9 to 7.7 is not quite as important as being downgraded from living to dead. If one click helps one person, then it is worth it.
