India has created history today by becoming the first nation in the world to successfully 'reach' Mars on its maiden attempt and the first Asian nation to do so as well!

Couldn't be prouder of the scientists and all involved at ISRO!

The whole project was conceived, built, and executed by Indian scientists; a tapestry of people from humble backgrounds - men and women alike - to bring immense pride and joy among millions of Indians around the world.

This successful mission, and more like these, will impel children around the globe to become more interested in science, astronomy, and physics. These kinds of feats - by humanity as a whole, are what take human civilization forward!

Congrats to India and the scientists at ISRO!

The best part was that Prime Minister was himself present during the whole event. He has really demonstrated what the country's real priorities are.

This will set an agenda for the future where more attention is paid to science and technology instead of wasting the country's money and resources in giving free stuff to poor people and minority appeasement.

For awhile there I thought you were from the US as one of our political parties, who hold the majority of power, practice exactly just that.

Reminds me a bit of the spirit that John Kennedy expressed on 12 Sept 62:
We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.

Big deal... The U.S. was the first to crash a satellite because of an incorrect conversion from the English system to metric. You just can't top that.
