NEW DELHI, June 17
Three members of a group linked to alleged terrorist Osama bin Laden were arrested after planning to bomb U.S. embassies in India and Bangladesh, Indian police said Sunday. They were caught in the Nizamudin area near New Delhi with more than 13.2 lbs. of RDX, a powerful explosive, plus detonators and timers, according to Indian and Arabic news reports.

I'm glad they prevented it. It's just too bad everyone hates the U.S. so much.

The thing is, I believe if the US truly wanted 'Osoma Been Laidon' my wife, they could have him. Maybe they are worried about who would replace him? If they know where he lives, carpet bomb the place, put down a little asphalt, trim some shrubs in the shape of animals, build a few rides and sell it to Disney.

They probably don't want to make him a martyr; I believe he has cancer of some sort, so seems like they're hoping he kicks the bucket.

the prob is that as of late he was buried way deep in those afgan mountains... and we can't just start launching missiles at mountain ranges hoping to get him with an internal quake.

the U.S. wants to make sure they get him and his most operational cells at the same time. They perhaps do not want to catch him and then face hundreds of unannounced attacks with demands that he is freed.

What would we do if such a thing happened? We couldn't let him go, but we'd face their version of a war with little to no defense.

If he goes one would assume it would be by assassination rather than being brought to the US. Too bad some of the right wing militias in this country couldn't put some of their skills and materials to use and go hunt those f'ers.
