Unfortunately not, probably never again.

However, if you haven't heard the Oddysey set.. it's basically 4 songs that are super prog/heavy in areas, reminds me of an old pink floyd song but SCIENCE style.

Why would you want a band to release an album that sounds just like one of their other ones? Sounds pretty boring to me.

Anyway, the song is ok. I've always liked what they've put out, very talented bunch of guys. I'm interested to hear the new album.

Agreed. They really should go back to more of that S.C.I.E.N.C.E.-type feel. Such an amazing album!

Hmm...I'm a big Incubus fan and I didn't think that S.C.I.E.N.C.E. was that good of an album. I like Morning View, Make Yourself, and ACLOTM a lot better. Drive, Mexico, and Wish You Were Here are my favorite songs by them.

But then again, I really don't like songs where the singer is not singing along with the melody of the music. The music of SCIENCE was fine, but what turned me off was that he wasn't actually singing along with the melody. This is also why I don't like any of System of a Down's music either.

Wow, that song does absolutely nothing for me. And this is coming from one of the biggest incubus fans ever. I wasn't really that impressed with "A crow left the murder" either, so what can I say. Looks like this next cd isn't going to pull me back either.

that's a crazy assertion, IMO. you don't like music with polyphony or countermelody? that's tantamount to saying you only like simplistic pop music. have fun with that.

Ya definitely...it's been a steady slide downhill. You could listen to science straight through. Make yourself sounded so uninspired, so "radio", but was still pretty good. Morning view had a few good songs (The first 5, basically), and a few forgettable ones. ACLOTM was garbage. This one isn't sounding any better.

You assume too much. I didn't say that I only liked pop music.

I would prefer the music to emphasize the melody of the singer(s). Small amounts of clashing are ok in a song to create that tension, but when a majority of the song is like that (i.e. System of a Down), I don't enjoy that.

yeah, IMO there's no other band who've put out an album as good as SCIENCE that has had such a precipitous and continuous decline.

All of you SCIENCE fans are forgetting about "Fungus Amongus". If you liked SCIENCE and haven't heard that CD, check it out, it's quite similar with a little more funk thrown in. Good cd.

I've been a huge incubus fan since they started making music, I actually own an original copy of Fungus Amongus before the reprint. I think they still put out good music even if I don't care for their last few records much. It's like, Incubus at their worst is still 99% better than what passes as music these days. SCIENCE is my favorite, that album defined such a huge period of my life, but there are some great tunes hidden on their last few records.

Incubus didn't really hit their stride 'till SCIENCE, IMO. I have both Enjoy Incubus and Fungus Amongus because I'm an obsessive collector, but the good tracks from FA are all on EI. Definitely more funky than anything else they've done, probably because they were coping RCHP, 311, and Mr. Bungle too much.

Exactly. Fungus amongus was good, but very, very different from SCIENCE. It didnt really rock like it should have - didnt seem very inspired.
