Increasing the FSB of Athlon XP 2000+ (133->166)

I know where to change the fsb speed in bios, but what else do i need to do?

i'm doing this to match my RAM speed (pc2700). should i worry about temperature??
i have the retail hs/f that came with the 2000+ proc.

1) check the likelihood of that. If you have a palomino core, you're definitely not going to get there. With a tbred core you have a shot, but no guarantee.

2) If the system boots at 166, then you run Prime95 to verify stability. 12-24 hours for a definite answer.

There's really nothing else you need to do. But if you can, I'd take smaller steps.
