I have a neo4 platinum non-sli, and I'm looking to get one of those UTT chips, either twinmos or mushkin.

However, the bios of the board limits me to 2.85v for the vdimm, and I've heard a lot more voltage is needed.

What can I do to increase the voltage?
Is there a considerable risk in going above what the manufacturer bios limits me at?

Also, I've got a no named power supply, do I need another power supply to be able to supply extra voltage?

Can I modify the bios? This board runs on award bios.

You should of gotten the DFI NF4 Ultra bro, it allows 4V. I would see if the OCZ DDR Booster works for your mobo. Other then that your screwed.

LoL, I think you could volt mod the board. You would need to check some of the overclocking forums to see what they say.

depends on your bios. if there is settings on it then later you can put extra power supply and run it to extream

How so? My bios now limits me from 2.5 - 2.85. I can't seem to find a vdimm mod for neo4 platinum.... Wouldnt the MSI forums be a bad place to look? lolz it's like telling them "hey! to hell with this warranty!"
