The BIOS lists the 12V voltage as 12.03V but speedfan and motherboard monitor have it at around 11.5V. Should I just believe the BIOS? The power supply is 480w with 28A on the 12V rail. I only have one 6800gs video card. The motherboard is an Abit KN8 SLI. I have one hard drive, one floppy, and one dvdrw drive.

Hi, Get one more software program to read voltages. The two that agree are the ones that are correct. 12.03 is great. Plus or Minus 5% is also great. Good Luck, Jim

Edit: The guys are saying to use a multimeter. Good idea but make sure it's a DIGITAL Multimeter. Jim

LOL...sure. Or you could buy a multimeter and see what the actual voltage is

Check the voltage at the molex plug using a multimeter. A good PSU will keep the 12VDC rail at 12.0V+/-0.1 under ANY load.
