Incorrect Temperature Readings

Ok, so the last 2 motherboards I've had have both had incorrect Bios cpu temp readings.

My old one was with my pentium d 920 which gave me readings of 16idle/22load. RIIIIGHT. My external diode was 30idle, closer to reality.

Now, in my new motherboard, p965-s3, my new core2duo was reading something like 10-15idle, but tat would give me accurate 45-55 idle.

I threw in my old processor (my old one i sent back for testing cuz it seemed too high) and stupid bios is saying 16-18 idle / 25 load.

Since I don't know of anything that doesn't read off the bios temps, i don't know what my actual temp is, since my temp guage is in my old computer.

So, anyone know how both of my motherboards seem wacky?

yeah, so does tat. The Pentium D, however, isn't a Core processor. So either I need an external (inaccurate) diode, or I don't know its temp. Why is my Bios, in both motherboards, wrong? I see a lot of people's bios report somewhat accurate temps from the bios, like 30-50c, why are mine sooooooo low??
