My system seems to be detecting an incorrect FSB speed. I have had problems earlier with my motherboard automatically going into BIOS and making me reset the processor speed because my system was hanging during boot. Also my system takes about 10 seconds before it displays my video card BIOS info. I havent had the processor speed reset problem in a while but the video card BIOS still hangs. I did a system analysis with SiSoft Sandra today and it told me that the FSB setting was incorrect. But I have it set at 133 like it should be. What can I do?

Here is my system:
AMD Athlon XP 1600
Asus A7V266 Bios rev. 1002c
Crucial 256mb DDR PC2100
Hercules Prophet II PRO
Sound Blaster 5.1
50x cd-rom
400w PSU

I would take what SANDRA says with a grain of salt. Often the things it suggests are irrelevant, incorrect or just plain silly.

In any case, you should upgrade your BIOS to Version 1006.

I've used the latest Sandra on two systems recently, one is a PII 850(100FSB), and the other is a 1.1Ghz Celeron. Sandra reported that the bus on the PIII was 133(system it is in is not even capable of 133) and the Celeron was 66. Which is completely incorrect. It is still a useful utility though.

Thanks guys, I figured it was pretty far off. As for BIOS 1006, I tried that one and my 3dmark2001 score went down about 400 points so I went back to 1002c. May try 1003 though. I got a question. When I flash my BIOS to the newest one, am I getting all of the fixes for previous flashes that I skipped over, or just the fix for the one I am actually flashing?
