um i have an older computer, 300 mhz celly. I formated the hdd because i was running it in another computer. Had a lot of problems getting it to work, so after resetting the bios the freaking thing keeps coming up with the message that is in the title. what should i do?

Thx,
Bryson

Sounds like you need to go into bios and specify 1.44meg 3.5 floppy for your A: drive.

As a test, pull the A: cable and set it to none. If it still gives you that warning, either it is some obscure bios that actually talking about the first hard drive's settings or your mobo is messed up and it needs manually set. You could always try resetting it again.

Is your floppy cable on the end of the cable with the twisted portion of the ribbon (it should be)? One other thing to check is does your bios have a switch floppies settings and is it on?
