Hello-

I am having some difficulty with my video card. I have the following:

evga 6800gs 256mb pci-exp video
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (running @ 2600mhz) w/1gb OCZ ram
DFI NF4X-INF Infinity Motherboard (754 socket)
ALL DRIVERS AND BIOS CURRENTLY AT NEWEST REVISION
(dont know if more info is needed, please advise...)

When I try to play a game such as Oblivion or Doom3 Fear(any game really)
I get frame rates around 10 or less. Unless I stand still and dont do anything...then I get 15-20fps. Keep in mind this is with everything turned off or set to minimums.....

After trying to resolve on my own, I got bummed and tried swapping video cards to see what/if anything may be faulty. So my 6800gs runs fine in my dads pc and his Sapphire x800 gto2 runs fine in mine. With his card i get 60fps in the above games with settings at medium to high?!

Also, my 6800GS vid card runs fine in his pc and he gets fps etc around 65+ with settings around same spot medium to high etc....

So my theory is that hardware seems to be working ok just maybe a compatibility issue with this particular mobo and vid card (6800 and infinity)....? Any theories advice etc appreciated!

i have the same motherboard, and when i had my 6800gs it didn't have any incompatibility issues with the NF4X...did you try uninstalling and reinstalling your forceware drivers?

Thank you for the reply. Good to know somebody got it working. I guess I must have something that is interfering......I have tried reinstalling forceware...somebody else mentioned maybe reinstalling direct x too....Ill try that later as I am kinda running out of ideas...
