hopefully I won't get much back and I calculated correctly.

otherwise savings/invest.

In reality, everyone should strive to PAY at the end of the year. Tax refunds of any size = FREE LOAN to Uncle George and the DC crew. 🙁

I changed my dependant count to 8 (per the W4 worksheet) and am still looking at getting a refund (although much smaller than last year). Might up it to 9!

exactly what I try to avoid, they ain't getting no stinkin' interest free loan on 6000 bucks.

If I get money back I'll be mad. If I have it the way I want I will be wrting them a check for the amount right below where I would get penalized for under withholding.

It takes great fiscal responsibility to do that. Most people would take the extra money on their check and spend it and not have the money at the end of the year to pay. The ideal situation would be to place that money (and more) into investments/interest bearing accounts and make money from YOUR money and THEIR money instead of giving them a loan with YOUR money...free of charge!

I'm going to spend my money on a promise ring and dinner with the girl. Maybe a little something for myself..we'll see

Edit: Just deposited. A whopping $379 🙁

who pays taxes nowadays? Id rather be part of a tribe that lives deep in the jungles... like the ones that are there now except with laptops...

I used mine on my 3 year overdue computer upgrade... and the rest went to credit card debt...
