That video seems aimed squarely at 'blowing' the minds of morons.

The wealthiest fifth of the country has much more money than the poorest fifth?! My god, that's incredible!!!

🙄

I turned it off after the first long, drawn-out graphic, used to illustrate that if you divide the population up into five sections by income, the upper portions are larger! Well no fucking shit, if they weren't you wouldn't have been able to make those groups in the first place.

I have nothing against what they are trying to convey: it IS horribly skewed. The 1%ers not only take all that pay away from the lower classes, but are also hurting the economy on the whole by saving/investing/having sex with their big piles of money, rather than simply spending it on goods and services provided by the rest of us. We're trickle-up Barbie girls in a trickle-down Barbie world. Made of plastic, so fantastic...brush my hair...take me anywheerree...

...anyhow, I was just saying that the video is pandering to morons and I object to that.

More important than the triviality of money, they buy politicians, laws, and policy.

But the end goal of those things?

Yep. Sucking more money out of the economy.

Though you do make a good point about targeted economic stimulus. Political bribes are surely a boost to any industry whose clientele are full of upper middle class (or right above them at the poorest of the 'rich') old white guys.

They obviously didn't dumb it down enough for your attention span. :\
