Does ATOT burn incense?
If so, who makes yours, and what scents do you burn?
I burn Sandalwood-scented incense in my room.

I love incense, but haven't burned it in awhile. My favorite was a handmade incense that was sold open shelf. I don't recall the brand, but I used to get it in DE. Nag Champa is good, but it can be a bit much. It's strong as hell.

Jamaican Spice, Jamaican Sunrise (Planet K) and occasionally Frankincense (Auroshikha).

I used to, in my old apartment... but when I was moving, I unearthed an astounding amount of dust all over my bedroom, which I can only attribute to incense.

nowadays, if anything, I'll stick with scented candles or maybe burning some oil.

Sage. Except that it sets off the smoke alarms. There goes that nice romantic atmosphere.

You would probably hate my other habit, then. :p

JosephF, you're absolutely brilliant! Go ahead and post in a public forum that you use pot. (Any reasonable person would infer this from your post.) In a couple of years, when someone's doing a background check on you, they're going to think twice. Not because you use pot - most people don't care - but because you show a lack of common sense and posted about it.

I don't see the appeal in scented candles, incense, etc unless you're trying to cover up some other odor.

I smoke cigarettes, not weed.
Not to say that I never have, but it's been more than a year since the last time I smoked, and I don't miss it.
I don't give a fuck if my future employer reads this, for if they ask me if I have used drugs, I won't lie to them.

Most of the stuff mentioned is kind of cheap incense that you might buy from a car wash or a head shop.
You need a a burner and some charcoal.
I like bamboo charcoal, and you can get it from the net.
The match light stuff has saltpeter in it and is a bit noxious, so try to find the plain stuff like the bamboo charcoal.

Now, for the incense, I like "Evesham" made by the monks at Elmore Abbey.
I buy pounds at a time.

If you don't know what you like, you want to get sample packs from the monks at Holy Transfiguration Monastery:

They have a lot of different kinds, and you can even call the monks and ask them what they recommend. I recommend one they call "Tsaritsa."

Ah, nice to see I was wrong. Well, partially wrong. You mean to tell me that despite all the information available, there are still kids stupid enough to start smoking cigarettes?

I've known a handful of people that started smoking around highschool because they heard that if they stop while they're still young there are no long lasting effects.

I say they're morons. I wish I still knew them so I could laugh at them when they try to quit.

I used to back when I was in college. Our dorms were divided into "pods" with ~5 bedrooms each with common bathrooms and a common room. Our common room had the couches, televisions, and gaming consoles. We all pitched in to set the place up, and within a few weeks it smelt like an opium den or something. A LOT of video games were played in that room...I miss those days sometimes.

How come you can get away with personal attacks and trolling while any normal member cannot? Reported.

I tend to burn Nag Champa if I'm going to burn any incense. I really like the Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa incense, even if it is a very typical incense. If you can find an older version of it (the sticker seals are not holographic/extra shiny), get it. It smells noticeably better than the post-2005 version.

I also get Shanthimalai Nag Champa, which is very high quality and "benefits village women trained in the art of creating incense sticks." Mother's Fragrance also has high quality incense. I purchased it through incenseguru.com.

That's about all the experience I have with incense. I like Nag Champa enough that I don't see much of a reason to deviate from it. I don't burn incense often enough to experiment with a variety of different kinds.

<previous post>

I said that you'd have to be stupid to start smoking in this day and age. Do you dispute that? Are you saying it's a wise decision to smoke tobacco products? You're a moron if you think so. I'll back my opinion with a scientific study:
The findings suggest that lower IQ individuals are more likely to choose to smoke,
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,587241,00.html
(The study is quoted all over the Internet.) Feeling a little sensitive about your IQ? Not quite bright enough to recognize this:
there are still kids stupid enough to start smoking cigarettes
as a blanket statement and not a *personal* attack? 20 years ago, there was a ton of advertising that encouraged kids to smoke. 20 years ago, there was a LOT more peer pressure to smoke. But these days?

So, the best way for you to express your distaste for smoking is to insult me?
Why do you continue to be rude to me? What the fuck did I ever do to you?

BTW, in the given context (a direct response to me) what you said is a personal attack, not just a blanket statement.
If you had said that not in response to anyone, then it wouldn't be.

On that note, I'm done.
I know that you will continue to be a douche on these forums, and no one in authority here cares.

Meh, my apologies if thats how you took it. If you have half a brain though, you'll quit now, rather than wait til later when it gets harder and harder to quit.
