The streaming service is giving out five awards in its first year; global artist of the year, songwriter of the year and breakthrough artist of the year were selected by Apple Music’s editorial team, while album of the year and song of the year are decided by streaming data from the platform.
Billie Eilish snagged three of the awards
1 billion streams of this Billie in 2019?
I never heard of her (or her music), so I went to YouTube to find out. After watching about 1 minute of her various songs, I decisively concluded:

Don't believe me? Watch this example and see for yourself. I'd rather listen to crap like Winger or Kaja Gugu instead of this! 😛
(And you can't disagree with me, because I'm right). 😉

It's an ok song. It has a good beat and is easy to listen to. I mean yeah its no Pink Floyd like some old timers like to listen to and make their avatar but it ain't bad.

Ya know a sure sign of getting old is when you can't relate to modern music right? Before ya know it you're going to have "DO NOT STEP ON GRASS" signs in your front yard.🙂😛

Oh I know I'm already there with that. 😛

I really do like and listen to a wide range of music (not just rock), but modern music is so "blah". It definitely is geared to artists selling singles (or streaming them) instead of people buying a full album anymore. That aspect is the biggest difference from when people used to buy full albums.
