I just put my 8.4 HD in a Fic AZ11 mobo with a Duron 700. And I get the error message "INACESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE" at startup. Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this problem. I tried booting in Safe mode but that did not work. I Disabled the virus detection in the CMOS settings but no luck. Any clues? I know the hard drive is okay because in my older Cyrix II 300 it boots fine and I can use the system.

you need to boot off the win2k cd and load the drivers for your controller (ata66 or ata100) for that mobo.
it'll work like a charm after that.

On the "blue" screen section of the setup... Right at the start. It will say at the bottom of the screen "Press F6 for SCSI..." something like that. Press "F6" during that time. Then it will ask you for manufacturer's disk. Just put that in and you're off. ^^
